Bonafide inspiration chasers Robyn and Jarrid set out last year from Los Angeles to Lakeland, Fl. with $300 in their pockets, a car full of tools and a big dream. Their mission was to create a one of a kind beignet and chicory coffee booth. They built the booth themselves with items that others had discarded and make every delicious beignet by hand, from scratch. The Lakeland locals have responded with resounding excitement.. In a matter of 7 months, they've revived the towns farmers market, filled thousands of bellies with their delicious fried joy and strengthened a community with the idea that you can indeed live the life you've always imagined with what you have right now. The Poor Porker duo also run a a lifestyle blog/website called Thepoorporker.com. They cover everything from functional DIY projects to fashion, food and cocktails.
