I first learned to crochet when I was 17. My first project was a poncho. Being a teenager I had better things ti do with my time, so crocheting went by the wayside. When my first daughter was born I made her an afghan and then one for each child there after. (6 kids). Then I made my husband his own afghan, but his toes kept coming out of the spaces. I stopped crocheting altogether in the early 80's then picked it up again when I became permanently disabled in 2001. I like to think I've improved over the years as I had to teach myself everything but a sc and dc.
