My Bio

I became a new quilter in 2013. I have always loved fabric and beautiful quilts. My mother made lovely quilts and clothing for me. My parents owned a small department store in West Virginia and I grew up cutting fabrics for our customers quilts. I cut out and basted my first quilt my senior year in high school. I did some sewing after that but only out of necessity. Once I retired last May I decided to learn to make beautiful quilts like my Mom did. I mostly piece and my Mom loved applique. I am addicted to fabric and instinctively turn in to visit quilt stores when I can.
