I made some little infant shoes based on this tutorial: http://shwinandshwin.blogspot.com/2011/05/little-man-shoes.html
It's not the easiest tutorial, but it does include a PDF pattern which is nice. I lined the inside sole with felt and used velcro to close the flap. The little buttons are only for decoration.
