Step 1

Measure, mark, and cut a slot in the paper plate, as shown, with the ruler, pencil, and craft knife.
Step 2

Use the pencil to draw a scary shark with two glue tabs onto black cardstock (or see template 53, page 319). Cut it out.
Step 3

Push the shark through the slot in the plate. Turn the plate over and apply glue to the tabs. Fold them in opposite directions and press them to the plate to secure them.
Step 4

Cut a small triangle out of the middle of your sandwich. Place the sandwich in the jaws of the shark. Optional: Dribble a little extra jam around the shark’s teeth for added gore!
