HEAD Make 2ch, 6sc in second chain from hook. Round 1: 2sc in each st. (12 sts) Round 2: *1sc in next st, 2sc in next st; rep from * to end of round. (18 sts) Round 3: *1sc in next 2 sts, 2sc in next st; rep from * to end of round. (24 sts) Rounds 4–10: 1sc in each st. (24 sts) Round 11: *1sc in next 2 sts, sc2tog; rep from * to end of round. (18 sts) Round 12: 1sc in each st. (18 sts) Round 13: *1sc in next st, sc2tog; rep from * to end of round. (12 sts) Fasten off.
Step 2
BODY Make 2ch, 6sc in second chain from hook. Round 1: 2sc in each st. (12 sts) Round 2: *1sc, 2sc in next st; rep from * to end of round. (18 sts) Rounds 3–10: 1sc in each st. Round 11: *1sc in first st, sc2tog; rep from * to end of round. (12 sts) Fasten off.
Step 3
ARMS (make 2) Make 2ch, 6sc in second chain from hook. Rounds 1–5: 1sc in each st. Fasten off, leaving a long tail.
Step 4
LEGS (make 2) Make 2ch, 6sc in second chain from hook. Rounds 1–4: 1sc in each st. Fasten off, leaving a long tail.
Step 5
MAKING UP Sew in ends. Insert safety eyes and stuff head firmly. Stuff body, pin and sew to head. Pin and sew arms and legs to body (do not stuff ). Sew mouth in black yarn.
Step 6
CAPE Cut a piece of white cotton fabric 4 x 8in (10 x 20cm).Make a small hem along each side. Gather the top and hand sew around neck.
