Step 1
Head
Note: Work in continuous rnds. Pm and move to denote beg of rnds.
Rnd 1: With CA, make magic ring. 6 sc in ring. (6 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around. (12 sc)
Rnd 3: (Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.
(18 sc)
Rnd 4: (Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (24 sc)
Rnd 5: (Sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (30 sc)
Rnd 6: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc) around. (36 sc)
Rnd 7: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc) around. (42 sc)
Rnds 8–15: Sc around.
Rnd 16: (Sc2tog, sc in next 5 sc) around. (36 sc)

Rnd 15: (Sc in next 3 sc, sc2tog) around. Stuff with fiberfill. (24 sc)
Rnd 16: (Sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog) around. (18 sc)
Rnd 17: (Sc in next sc, sc2tog) around. (12 sc)
Rnd 18: Sc2tog around. Stuff with fiberfill. Fasten off,

Step 3
Arm (make 2)
With CA, work Rnd 1 of Head.
Rnd 2: (Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (9 sc)
Rnds 3 and 4: Sc around. (9 sc)
Rnd 5: (Sc2tog, sc in next sc) around. (6 sc)
Rnds 6 and 7: Sc around.
Stuff a little bit of fiberfill just at the bottom of the Arm.
Fasten off, leaving long tail.
Step 4
Leg (make 2)
With CA, work Rnds 1 and 2 of Head.
Rnd 3: Sc in next sc, (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) 4 times, sc in next 3 sc. (16 sc)
Rnds 4 and 5: Sc around.
Rnd 6: (Sc in next sc, sc2tog) around. (11 sc)
Fasten off, leaving long tail. Stuff with fiberfill.
Step 5
Ear (make 2)
With CA, work Rnds 1–6 of Leg. Fasten off, leaving long tail. Flatten into a circle.
Strawberry Stalk
Rnd 1: With CC, make magic ring. 5 sc in ring.
(5 sc)
Rnds 2–4: Sc around.
Rnd 5: *Ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next sc, rep from * around. Join with sl st. Fasten off, leaving long tail. Stuff lightly with fiberfill.
Step 6
Skirt (for girl bear) or Collar (for boy bear)
With CC, ch as many as needed to go around Bear’s waist or neck.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, *(hdc, dc, hdc) in next sc, sc in next sc, rep from * across. Fasten off.
Step 7
Finishing
Sew Ears to Head. Sew Strawberry Stalk to Head. Attach eyes. For nose, cut oval from white felt and embroider features with brown floss, referring to photo as guide. Glue felt nose to face. Sew Body to Head. Sew Arms to Body. Sew Legs to Body. Sew Skirt to waist, or sew Collar to neck. With yellow floss, embroider yellow dots on Body.
