HURDLE RIB STITCH BED AFGHAN

Step 1

PATTERN: Using the long-tail cast-on method, cast on 69 sts. To create perfectly neat edges, the cast-on includes two selvage stitches, - one at the beginning and - one at the end of each row.

Step 2

Set-up Row (RS): Sl 1 purlwise wyib, knit to last st, p1 Set-up Row 2 (WS): Sl 1 st purlwise wyib, knit to last st, p1

Step 3

Row 1 (RS): Sl 1 st purlwise wyib, knit to last st, p1. Row 2 (WS): Sl 1 st purlwise wyib, knit to last st, p1. Row 3 : Sl 1 st purlwise wyib, *k1, p1; repeat from * across to last 2 sts, k1, p1. Row 4 : Sl 1 st purlwise wyib, *p1, k1; repeat from * across to last 2 sts, p1, p1.

Step 4

Repeat Rows 1 – 4 another 42 times or until the piece measures approximately 56 in. (142 cm) or the desired size.

Step 5

Repeat Set-up Rows 1 – 2 twice more.
