The little embellishment of pom poms add flair to this plain sweater. Pick out your favorite color and in no time you'll have a customized look that costs practically nothing.

Here's what you need:

- 2 x 1 meter (3 feet) brightly colored pompom trimmings in different
colors or home-made pompoms
- Fabric scissors
- Cable-knit sweater
- Pins
- Matching color thread
- Sewing needle

Step 1

Detach the pom poms from the trimming with a pair of fabric scissors.

Step 2

Lay the sweater flat on your work surface and arrange the pompoms on top in different combinations until you find the one you like. Then pin to secure and sew the pom poms onto the sweater.
