Christmas Sleigh Candle Project
Step 1
Prepare the Mold:
Ensure your Christmas Sleigh silicone mold is clean and dry. Secure the wick inside the mold by inserting it through the bottom wick hole, pulling it tight, and securing it with a wick holder across the top.
Step 2
Melt the Wax:
Using a double boiler or microwave, melt your candle wax until it's fully liquid (about 180°F or 82°C). Stir occasionally for an even melt.
Step 3
Add Color and Scent:
Once melted, divide the wax into two portions for coloring. Add red dye to one portion and green dye to the other, stirring gently until the colors are fully blended. You can also add a few drops of fragrance oil for that holiday scent.
Step 4
Pour the Wax:
Slowly pour the red-colored wax into one section of the mold to create a sleigh effect. Then pour the green wax into the remaining sections. For added detail, you can alternate colors for a more dynamic look. Be sure to fill the mold to the top, leaving space for the wick.
Step 5
Let It Set:
Allow the candle to cool and harden completely, which may take a few hours. If the top of the candle sinks a little as it cools, reheat a small amount of wax and top it off.
Step 6
Unmold Your Candle:
Once the candle is fully hardened, gently remove it from the silicone mold. Trim the wick to about ¼ inch.
Step 7
Enjoy Your Christmas Sleigh Candle:
Your sleigh candle is now ready to bring festive charm to your home or to give as a thoughtful, handmade gift. Place it as a centerpiece or on your mantel for a cozy Christmas glow!
Step 8
Tip: You can experiment with metallic or glitter accents for an extra sparkly holiday effect!
