Harriette Cole's '108 Stitches' Crochet Collection

Harriette Cole has practiced meditation for about 20 years, using a rosary or meditation mala that has 108 beads. When conceiving her accessories line she wondered "How can I make this work mean something more than just 'Here's some beautiful things'?'" She started crocheting pieces that are 108 stitches wide and making the theme of these garments a meditation on love. "The main thing I have to do in terms of concentration is establish the first row in the chain as 108 stitches, and then I go back and forth as a mediation," she explains.
