They have rapped about bubble wrap and crooned over salad. Now Minneapolis kid music duo Koo Koo Kanga Roo has turned their melodic focus to that sparkly craft material the world has a tortured relationship with: "Glitter."
"We love and kinda despise glitter," explain Koo Koo Kanga Roo's Bryan and Neil. "You think its going to be amazing. And it does make your sympathy cards sparkle, but the cleanup is the worst. This song represents those feelings. Typically we make homemade cards with glitter and then we fill them with glitter so when people open the card they are tortured by glitter and it never comes out of their carpets."
Watch Koo Koo Kanga Roo's video for "Glitter" below, as they get enthused about adding some shine to their DIY cards and then and then realize they've overdone it.
Let's face it. If you haven't overdone it with glitter you've never done anything with glitter.
