Finding a new pattern or fabric that I just love usually pulls me out of a rut!

I GET IN A RUT WHEN MY ROOM IS A MESS. Then I go to get organized and it helps me to get back to sewing.
Then can't stop.....love Coats & Clark since I was 9....

I love seeing the posts of Craftfoxes the tin would be cute to have as I just lost my Mom and she was a wonderful seamstress and I collected some of her things that I would like to store in it as keepsakes, She was a very loyal purchaser of Coat and Clark products as well.

I browse Etsy or Pinterest for inspiration when I need motivation!

Usually I go to pinterest or I just sort through my fabric stash!

Cleaning up my sewing room helps, as I come across things and get ideas. Also Pinterest.

When I need inspiration, I challenge myself--try a new pattern, make something with only supplies I have on hand, master a challenging technique. That usually gives me some new ideas, and a new path to follow!

My sewing ruts are usually solved by the advent of a holiday, birthday or other special occasion that inspires me to create!

needing to make a gift, either a baby gift or a housewarming.

When I'm in a sewing rut, a rarity, I watch a sewing program on public television to inspire me, and even if I'm not in a rut, I watch it. I always learn something new.

When I am in a sewing rut it only takes looking at all the progress everyone is making on their projects on facebook or instagram to get me motivated.

Have a lot of Coats and Clark Thread. When in a rut I just look for new patterns that I want to try.
