A crochet coral reef is the latest art installation at the Florida Craftsmen Gallery in St. Petersburg, Florida. At more than 1,200 feet long, the handmade craft hopes to highlight both the endangered health of American reefs as well as the brilliant wealth of American craftsmanship. The crochet graffiti includes 100 different jellyfish, octopi with 7-foot tentacles and over a thousand amigurumi from 250 contributors around the world. The exhibit is open from now until September 1, 2012.
Head to the Florida Craftsmen Gallery for more information about the crochet coral reef.
