For personal DIY gifts for my friends and family, I love to take important pictures and add them to glass containers with candles. It's a quick and easy way to have a keepsake that lasts forever.
Memory Candles
Step 1
Convert photos to black and white and shrink in size to fit the candle. After printing, photocopy the images. (The photocopy is necessary for the proper ink to transfer the image.)
Step 2
Cover the images with packing tape. Press down firmly to ensure the ink transfers and that there are no air bubbles.
Step 3
Soak the pictures in warm water for 5-10 minutes. Begin gently rubbing to remove the paper. Set aside to dry. You will probably have to repeat this step a few times until all of the paper is gone.
Step 4
Once completely dry, carefully press the tape onto your candle holder. Add the candle and wrap if you'd like!
