To make a robot costume, you'll need:
- A large box for the body shell
- Dryer tubing
- Electric wiring
- Rubber bath mat
- Choice of decorations
- Metallic silver spray paint

Choose a box that is large enough to wear comfortably. Cut out an opening big enough to go over the head easily.
Cut holes at the right height for the arms to pass through. Glue dryer tubing to the arm holes.
Decorate the box to resemble your idea of a robot. We glued the rubber bath mat—inside out—to the front of the box and then spray painted it silver. Then we attached pieces of plastic wire tubing here and there and added colored electrical wire connectors from the hardware store. The glow-in-the-dark stars and balls came from the craft store.
