Bring some funky style to Christmas this year with these retro designs which use metallic threads for extra sparkle! Strengthen metallic threads with a conditioner such as Thread Heaven before you begin. You’ll find it stops the threads from fraying as much and will glide through your fabric much easier, too!

Step 2

Use the chart to make the reindeer cross stitch Christmas card.

Step 3

Use the chart to make the ornaments cross stitch Christmas card.

Step 4

Use the chart to make the "Merry Christmas" cross stitch card.

Step 5

To turn your cross stitches into greeting cards, place your card face down and stick strips of double-sided tape closely around the aperture edge. Trim the edges of your fabric to fit the aperture.

Step 6

Place your stitching face up and turn the card over to position underneath. Keep the fabric grain square to the card edge for an even more professional finish.

Step 7

Smooth out fabric creases and press down firmly. Place double-sided tape on the edge of the left-hand panel. For colored cards add a piece of white paper.

Step 8

Fold the left panel over to line up with the central panel. Press down firmly to flatten the card, fold the third side over and your card is complete!
